Bernhardt & Schulte GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1919 and is a family-owned company in the fourth generation.
It all started with our built-in switches for electrical applications and this tradition stands the test of time until today.
However, tradition has been combined with innovation. In the course of time we could improve our business activities significantly so that we can look back on more than 100 years of experience in thermoset and thermoplastic production.
Founding of the Bernhardt & Schulte Company for the manufacture of switches for installation purposes.
Appliance switches for the new electric cookers and other household appliances are included in the expanded production program.
Member of the VDE with Ref. No. 136, first mark approval for a rotary switch
A plastic pressing plant is set up for processing typified thermosets for switch construction.
The first heating appliance switches on a plastic basis join the ceramic-base switches in general use up to this date.
Thermoplastic injection-molded parts are now included in the expanded product range.
Newly developed injection-molding machines mark the start of production of industrial plastic parts in thermosets.
Plant II is built in Steinwiesen/Upper Franconia, with a plastic pressing plant and rotary switch production.
